Bihar Universities and College Teachers Association (BUCOTAS) is an association of the teachers of the constituent and governmental colleges and universities in the state of Bihar. It mainly consists of BPSC selected teachers after year 2016 in the colleges and universities of Bihar. It is a registered association under Societies Registration Act, 21, 1860. It has been registered by the Registration Department, Government of Bihar.

Our Mission
Bihar Universities and College Teachers Association (BUCOTAS) seeks to engage all teachers and students in various cultural, scientific, social and activities for the promotion of real education in the state of Bihar. The seminars, conferences and other such modes will serve as an interactive platform for the exchange of ideas and generation of valuable inputs for the benefits of students, teachers and society.

BUCOTAS believes in the adoption of constructive approach for the amicable timely solution of all the problems of teachers of the Association. It endeavors to achieve a contribution – satisfaction equilibrium for students and teachers. The creation of a congenial environment is inevitable for better teaching – learning atmosphere.
Our Objectives
The purpose of Bihar Universities and College Teachers Association (BUCOTAS) is to provide a Forum for the Teachers of the Association. Its aim is to bring all BPSC selected teachers on one united platform. Its objective is to take constructive steps and action for the timely solution of long-pending genuine issues like Ph.D. increment, coverage under pension scheme (in the long run old pension scheme, OPS) and other important issues including delay in salary payment. It also seeks to promote various matters of common interests of the members of the association through many means. It also endeavors to help those who are in the dire need. The association also encourages and promotes activities, organize seminars, meetings, conferences and programmes for the benefit of the students, teachers and society.
